According to journalist Rik Elfrink, the PSV will not have Myron Boadu and Kiliann Sildillia for an indefinite period. The side defender injured last weekend in the game against NEC, while the midfielder missed the Champions League match against Union Sint-Gillis. Boadu suffers from upper leg injury, and Sildillia is also unavailable, both being absent for 4 to 6 weeks. This is a hard blow for the VSP, which is going through a difficult time in terms of injuries.
The PSV team faces challenges in defence, with the absence of several key players. Boadu had been recruited to AS Monaco to compensate for the absence of Alassane Plea, who had suffered a serious injury in a match against Robin Pröpper. In addition to Boadu and Sildillia, Mauro Júnior is also injured and unavailable. In the match against Union, coach Peter Bosz had to appeal to Yarek Gasiorowski to fill the gap in left side defender, then Anass Salah-Eddine in the second half.
To remedy these absences, Bosz should opt for an alternative defence solution, with Iván Perišic holding the position of right side defender replacing Pepi. Dennis Male and Esmir Bajraktarović could evolve on the wings. The VSP team will need to demonstrate resilience and creativity to overcome these challenges and continue to achieve positive results.
