Slavia Prague Castore a new start in Champions League

Rudy Galetti, a sports expert, announced that the Vrchovický club was considering early termination of its contract with Castore due to persistent supply and non-compliance problems. This information was quickly denied by Martin Ehá, first vice-president of Slavia Prague, who confirmed an agreement for the 2026/2027 season. The initial announcement of the collaboration with Castore had aroused an initial enthusiasm, but problems with the quality of the jerseys led to the frustration of the supporters. Slavia Prague, whose first team and youth teams will now wear Castore colours, is actively exploring other partners.

The Champions League is approaching, with an eight-day calendar that will begin soon. This edition is particularly important as it marks the beginning of a new era for European football, with a unique competition format and wider participation. Czech teams, including Slavia Prague, are preparing to face leading opponents, with upcoming matches against leading clubs such as PSG, FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Czech players are also playing in major European clubs, adding additional interest to the competition.

Apart from the Champions League, the Czech league has had some notable moments. Lukáš Vorličný experienced a revival by scoring two goals for Slavia Prague, after a long period of injury. The Liberec club, in difficulty, suffered its first defeat of the season against Sparta Prague, allowing Slavia to take the lead in the standings. However, Young Bloслав’s team impressed with its prolific attack, averaging more than five goals per game. These events illustrate the diversity and intensity of Czech football, with stories of resilience, success and challenges.
