The summer signature of Luis Henrique, Inter Milan player, expressed his joy after his participation in the 2-1 victory against Sassuolo. Team Nerazzurri won a precious three points, after initial defeats against Udinese, Juventus and Torino. Henrique, who joined the Inter from Ligue 1 with a five-year contract, stressed the good team spirit and the support he received from the club. He was used in the second half to replace Denzel Dumfries, and said he was happy to be part of a quality team, with which he has already won many trophies.

Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu stressed the importance of this victory, but also felt that the team could still improve. He acknowledged that the match against Sassuolo was more difficult than expected, due to a great opponent and some mental mistakes. Chivu also addressed the issue of player rotation, notably by mentioning the use of Francesco Pio Esposito due to the injury of Lautaro Martinez. He pointed out that Pio Esposito had demonstrated good things by quickly joining the team and that he could make use of Thuram and Lautaro in different ways.

Finally, Chivu joked at his press conference by announcing the use of the Spanish goaltender Josep Martinez, who replaced Yann Sommer. He claimed that he had kept his promise to give all of his guards play time and was satisfied with their performance. Chivu also expressed his satisfaction with Luis Henrique’s integration into the team, highlighting his hard work and willingness to give the best of himself. He concluded by evoking his attachment to his former club in Marseille and stating that he would always remain a fan. Inter Milan initially paid €25 million to Ligue 1, plus €3 million in bonuses, to take over Luis Henrique’s services.
