Anthony Moris joined the Union after starting his career in Guilda and experiencing the lower divisions through the Standard, Saint-Trond and Malines. His visit to Malines was marked by injuries, including a rupture of the cross ligaments, which hindered his development. Despite a promising first season in 2016/2017, a defeat against Anderlecht remains the most important match in his career, an event that has profoundly affected him and potentially altered his career. He then spent many seasons in retreat, under the shadow of other guards, before returning to a position of title, which he then retained, and to find teammates like Colin Coosemans during important Brussels derbys.
Lazare Amania left the Union Saint-Gilloise after losing his place in the team. The Ivorian international was not titularized this season and finally found a new club in Kiifisias, recently promoted to the first Greek division. He was seduced by the victory of his new club against the Panathinaikos and signed a contract until the end of the season. After a period without access to EU facilities, he will have to recover to the pace after training outside the professional setting.
Amania’s history in the Union spans nine years, since its arrival from the Academy of Aspire. After a loan to the Standard, he returned to the Union, where he had his best season at cuvée 2022/2023, thanks to a beautiful association with Senne Lynen and Teddy Teuma. His departure thus marks the end of an important stage in his career in Belgium, having evolved in Eupen, Malines and the Standard. He is now committed to new challenges in Greece.
