Holáš ready for Champions League a dream finally realized

Slavic football team captain Slavia Prague, Tomáš Holáš, expresses his impatience to play his first game in the main phase of the Champions League against Bodö / Glimt on Wednesday. At a press conference, the 22-year-old human rights defender said he had given a lot of thought to his career and stressed the enthusiasm that has come from all over Prague since the beginning of the season. He said he was aware of the unique opportunity that this prestigious competition represented, which he had already seen from afar during his previous visit to Slavia six years ago, but never had the opportunity to play. Holáš admits that this expectation has been long and that it is very happy that the previous season ended in a title, giving him this new chance to shine.

Holáš highlights his slightly different role in the team compared to his previous experience in the Champions League, and expresses his enthusiasm for this long-awaited competition. He stressed the importance of playing at home, where the atmosphere created by fans was a real asset for the team. He regrets the absence of some fans due to past disciplinary sanctions, but is pleased to be able to count on public support in this first game. He is aware of the offensive qualities of Bodö / Glimt, including their fast wings and powerful attacker, and ensures that the team prepares to counter them with a physical and aggressive game, aiming to fatigue them and limit their effectiveness.

Holáš is convinced that the team has had a positive dynamic since the start of the season, with a steady improvement in both physical and tactical performance. He hopes that this progress will lead to a good performance in Wednesday’s game. He stressed the importance of this meeting, which could be decisive for their final qualification of the Champions League. He concludes by stressing the pride and motivation he feels to represent Slavia Prague in this high-level competition, and his desire to give the best of himself to satisfy the fans.
