Simons chooses Tottenham PSG faced with lack of young opportunities Eintrigue Eintrigue Eintrigue

Ali Barat, agent of Xavi Simons, explained that the departure of the young player from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was due to a club policy that did not favour the development of young talent. Simons, after being often loaned, finally chose to engage in Tottenham, where he believes he is part of a more coherent development project. Barat points out that the PSG had historically favoured experienced players and stars, limiting opportunities for young people at the training centre. With the arrival of Luis Enrique, the PSG’s strategy has evolved to further integrate young players, but the player has no regrets about his choice.

This Friday, the draw of the first phase of the Women’s Champions League revealed the opponents of the three French clubs involved. Olympique Lyonnais will face Wolfsburg, St Pölten and Atlético Madrid, while Paris Saint-Germain will have to compete in Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and OH Leuven in a chicken phase. The Paris FC, for its part, will have a difficult task with leading opponents such as Barcelona, Benfica and the OH Leuven. These meetings represent a major challenge for the French teams, who will have to show determination to advance in the competition.

At the same time, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was summoned by the Spanish courts in the Negreira case, a corruption case involving FC Barcelona. He is suspected of having been aware of reports of referees provided to the Catalan club in exchange for favors. Several Barça leaders are also involved in this multi-year case. Luis Enrique will have to testify before Judge Alejandra Gil on December 12 to determine whether he was aware of the use of these reports and whether this has influenced arbitral decisions.
